Shanghai's unique charm captivates at CIIE 2024
The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) kicked off as scheduled, bringing together an impressive array of products and services from around the globe. But what excites me most are the pavilions that embody Shanghai's unique cultural essence.
Our first stop is the Zhang Garden Pavilion, representing Jing'an District. Once known as the "No. 1 Garden in Shanghai," Zhang Garden is a historical symbol of East-West cultural exchange. At the expo, its pavilion greets visitors with a striking entrance inspired by abstract elements of Shikumen architecture, offering a vivid glimpse into the heart of Shanghai-style culture.
Next, we move to the North Bund Pavilion. This "zero-carbon pavilion" showcases the North Bund's latest urban renewal achievements. From the emergence of green communities to the preservation of Shanghai's architectural heritage, the pavilion tells a compelling story of sustainability and cultural preservation.
And there's so much more to see! With countless pavilions and exhibits, even walking over 20,000 steps in a day isn't enough to take it all in. The CIIE truly offers an unforgettable journey through innovation, culture, and global exchange.
