Pig-butchering scammers have likely stolen more than $75 billion from victims around the world, far more than previously estimated, according to a new study.

The hackers had been inside the Bitfinex servers for weeks before attempting the heist. They'd watched users on the cryptocurrency exchange buy and sell Bitcoins.

The Economic Club of New York has hosted kings, prime ministers, and presidents, as well as Amazon.com Inc.s Jeff Bezos and JPMorgan Chase & Co.s Jamie Dimon.
