Add Colour to your Life

Two years back I was living a monotonous life that wasn’t filled with any zeal. I went through a good deal in my life, that has made me the strong person I am today. Although I was learning, I wasn’t utilizing my complete potential. As you may have heard life is like a canvas, but most people paint it with just a handful of colours. You might actually want to use a larger color palette. There are a few changes, we can all make in our lives to shine brighter.

If you feel you aren’t blessed enough, take a stroll on the streets, maybe to the poorer side of a city, or in another country and see how people lead the happiest lives with the least of resources. Look into the eyes of a simple fruit seller and notice how thankful he is for the little amount of money that you give him. Always be grateful for what you have.

Don’t get bothered by the smaller things in life like your cab driver playing music or losing a pair of earphones while traveling or a small bruise while hiking, it only wastes time. Time is more valuable than anything else. Try to focus on the bigger picture and the more important issues that matter to you.

People have often criticised me for being a soft-spoken person, but it never bothered me. I always loved being patient, kind and gentle even though it might have its flaws. Rudeness is a weak imitation of strength, and too much haste is a sign of lack in focus and attention, which result in lesser overall speed. You see there, bigger picture!!

One thing that helps with focus is finding your peaceful place. Try to stay in a positive environment where you can remain calm whenever necessary. It’s important to stay away from unnecessary distractions and restrictions. Surround yourself with people who motivate you and spread positive vibes.

Do everything that you enjoy the most, be it childish and carefree, or whether it’s about feeling your adrenaline rush to the maximum, or even something as simple as watching the sunset? Never focus too much on what other people might think of you. Fill your life with playful, funny and happy moments.

I hope all this helps you whenever you feel you have a dull moment. Its also going to serve as a reminder for me whenever I feel lost. Do share your thoughts in the comments below :).
