Everyone has a list of qualities that bring them happiness and make them who they are. Its mostly the little things in life that add up to big happiness. So here’s my list of attributes that would always put a smile on my face, and maybe you could add some of them to yours.
Positive Atmosphere : Living in a positive atmosphere has helped me a good deal compared to my earlier days when I had to compromise a lot. Lately, when I travelled and trekked, I’ve stayed at caves, tents, hostels, or even the desert; however, when I get back home to my spick-and-span room and the beautiful view, it feels like heaven.
Sunsets/ Sunrises : I practically watch the sunrise every other day at my place when I go for a run. Nevertheless, when I travel around there are a few astonishing views that I try not to miss. Dusk and dawn create spectacular effects on the scenery around, one can just get lost for a while.
Good Sleep : Nothing can boost my mood like a good night’s rest, without which I’m just a zombie during the day. Not only that, when I recently changed my schedule to sleep and wake up early, my sleep turned out to be much more fulfilling.
Traveling/ Planning my Travel : When in doubt, plan a trip, that has been my motto lately. I have trips planned out for the entire year and maybe even the next year. Too much?? But I’m glad its that rather than lying wasted in my room. Furthermore, I’m spending money on something fruitful. And I recently learned that travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. So it turns out, I’m getting rich. 😬
Late Night Talk Shows : Although I do not watch TV at all, ever since my sister introduced me to David Letterman, I’ve always found that late-night talk shows lift up my spirits. So I go on to YouTube and watch these videos occasionally, that way I keep myself updated with the news as well.
Salary Day : Well, err maybe this is not supposed to be on the list because this happiness lasts only until I pay my bills. 😐
Staying Organised : I know this one could be a pain, whether its organizing your belongings, your timetable or your life. However, to me, at the end it does give a sense of relief. And when you spend just five to ten minutes a day, its not much of a task.
Well, that’s it for now, don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments below.
